To the community of Times Business Directory
My name is Amily Ang and I am the President of International Coaching Federation (ICF)
Singapore Chapter. On behalf of ICF, I am delighted to share with you who we are and
how we can partner you to create the impact you want in your life and organization.
International Coaching Federation (ICF) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to
professional coaching.
Founded in 1995, its purpose was to give credibility to an emerging profession and give
coaches a place to connect with one another. 25 years later, ICF grew to become the
world’s largest organization of professionally trained coaches and the leading voice for
the global coaching community.
Our Vision is to create a World where Coaching is integral to Transforming Societies.
Our Mission Statement is to Advance coaching Excellence, Impact and Value
Worldwide
What is Coaching?
ICF defines Coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative
process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The
process of coaching unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity,
and leadership.
All of us have goals we want to reach; challenges we strive to overcome and at times we
can feel stuck. Partnering with an ICF credentialed coach can change your life, setting
you on a path to greater personal and professional fulfillment.
ICF credentialed coaches represent the highest level of professional coaching. These
universal values empower, inspire, and unite all of us as ICF members, credentialholders and believers of coaching worldwide.
The ICF Code of Ethics describes the ICF core values, ethical principles, and ethical
standards of behavior for all ICF Professionals. All ICF credentialed coaches are all
bound by strong ethics, having gone through rigorous training and exams to uphold the
Gold standard of coaching.
Our ICF Core Values include: Professionalism, Collaboration, Humanity and Equity. We
commit to a coaching mindset and professional quality that encompasses
responsibility, respect, integrity, competence, and excellence. We are also committed
to being humane, kind, compassionate and respectful towards others and finally we
commit to using a coaching mindset to explore and understand the needs of others so
we can practice equitable processes at all times that create equality for all.
We have partnered with various government sector, commercial organizations and
other non-profit and charitable organizations to provide pro bono coaching to them so
that they can experience the impact on themselves and their organizations.
