SHIPOWNERS

Ship owners own merchant ships which are equipped and exploited for cargo delivering for a price. Rates can be calculated as either per freight or per day. Since ship owners are largely shipping companies, the captain and crew are usually hired. While technical management is usually performed by the ship owner, outsourcing is viable.
